Unofficial Stuff

Why I'm in Boulder:

Historically software process improvement involved using tools and techniques determined by others to be the “best” of practice/breed whatever. Occasionally at the end of the project a postmortem was held. Postmortem accurately describes the event because:

With the advent of short time boxed iterations, postmortems shifted to retrospectives where the team would inspect their development practices and adapt to improve their results. I like retrospectives better than postmortems.

What I want to do is find a way to move from retrospectives to “inspectives”. Creating a continuous improvement, a learning environment. Going meta and getting better at how we get better. Knowing when to become more efficient and when to become less efficient so we can change and become more effective.
